you may wish to apply. If you really want it that badly, let the adcoms know by visiting and keeping in touch, maybe interviewing. ED may help you even more. Good Luck!

If you can afford to, apply ED, don’t they say that 60% of EDs get in? Those are a lot better odds than RD - if you’re worried.

^
Are you sure 60% gets in, that would increase ones chances by much.

I agree…ED for you if you can. My parents were told by admissions at CI that this years class had a 50% acceptance rate ED compared with 18% of RD (total was 37/38% overall) but as you can see, ED helps. They were also told that the strongest applicants usually come from the RD pool, again less competition ED. Just make sure that finaid isn’t a deal breaker.

bump… bummpp bumppp

where the 60% seems like it’s a huge help. It’s really not actually that much. with competitive schools, oddly enough, the kids that apply ED are more qualified then some of the RD kids. ED is simply if you’re in love with the school. The statistics don’t really prove to make it easier to get in just because the rates go up.

this thread is 2 years old, the ED acceptance rate is 37.5%
