5s in Comp Sci, Chemistry, Calc AB, Calc BC, A.Push, Physics B
4 in World History and Geo
ap scholar with distinction: one exam short of national ap scholar :-(
This yr: ap US gov, ap comp gov, ap bio, ap physics C, ap lang
Dual enrollment college: multivar calc, diff eq, linear algebra</p>

<p>ECs:
Varsity tennis team: numerous awards for undefeated season
Girl scouts gold award
Designing early literacy program for upcoming library, on their board, also promote library in community and make speeches and presentations on their behalf to advocate for early opening
various school honor societies
tutoring people in my school bad at math
competetive summer program and Univ of pennsylvania in biengineering (my intended major)
accumulated 200+ hours volunteering in various places
small award at school science fair</p>

Intend to major in engineering

come from competitive area (northern VA) :-(
attend magnet school</p>

<p>If you can get your SAT score up (it’s a little low for MIT) I’d say you have a good shot – especially if you apply early.</p>

<p>Apply, you fall into the average stats for the school so that means numbers wise your good…just make sure you highlight your biggest EC’s and how the pertain to your major of choice, if at all</p>

But apply to other schools as well…Brown, Duke, Berkeley, WashU, etc…
