My Physics Teacher- Also head of our Robotics program, got A+ in both classes, likes me a lot, likely 9.5/10

Essays:

I really think my essay is the strongest part of my application, and may be the main factor if i somehow do get accepted
I wrote about dressing up as a princess for halloween in 3rd grade, and how this showed me the insitutionalized misogyny and phobia to homosocial relationships that many boys have at a young age, and how it is still apparent today

Major: Physics

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take

gpa is low, but I think you have a decent shot regardless

Looks like you already applied??? Are you waitlisted???

Yeah

:open_mouth: @-)

I’m a guy btw and wrote about how kids called me “girl” and “gay” as insults

If UChicago is your first choice then take the gap year option and show your continued interest in the school. If you get accepted to class of 2021, great, if 2022, do something you have always wanted to do in the gap. Gap years can teach you as much as a freshman year at school.

@cu123 I totally agree with your comments.

It’s free to apply so why not?

Looks like you’re doomed to be a Wal-Mart shelver or Mcdonald’s frycook for the rest of your life.

Bit of a reach but you’ve definitely got a shot. Give it a try, there are lots of people here with profiles like yours.
