Should I even bother applying?

<p>Of course it’s a reach, but why not apply? If you are truly interested in attending Brown, you should not let doubt stop you from applying. You never know what colleges are looking for…the worst they can say is no.</p>

<p>Even though your SAT is slightly lower than standard, colleges look at it based on the resources available where you are, so a 2000 from say some farm village in the middle of nebraska is MUCH MORE impressive than a 2250 from an elite prep school like say Philips Exeter.</p>

<p>Essays are what will probably give you the best chance</p>

<p>True… I’m from a public high school in a “city” in Vermont that is not the nicest place to live.</p>
