Hi, I'm a rising senior, & my GPA and SAT scores aren't ALL that.
I'm an Indian girl, at a top public high school in New Jersey.

All Honors and AP Classes (8 AP classes once HS is done)
2 C's, in Chemistry Honors and Precalc Honors

SAT:
Reading: 680
Writing: 750
Math: 650

EC's:
- 3 years as Lawyer in Mock Trial
- 4 years in Newspaper (Business Manager)
- 2 years Model UN
- 2 years Habitat for Humanity
- 2 National Latin Exam Medals (1 gold, 1 silver)
- Indian Classical Dancer for 9 Years (performing professionally for charities, mixed audiences, showcases, etc.)
- Learned other forms of dance, including tap & jazz
- Taught Indian Classical Dance 2 hrs. every sunday for past 2 years

Chances at Cornell, Vassar, Emory, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, McGill, Boston College?
Should I bother at all?! HELP!
Thanks =)

I think you should definitely try.

Cornell: Low Reach
Vassar: High match/ Low Reach
Emory: Low Reach
NU: Reach
Vandy: Reach
McGill: High Match
BC: Match/High match

Yeah- try. Are you planning to retake those SATs?

which school in cornell are you applying to? I’d definitely say apply ED to Cornell if you really love it.

Thanks guys! I do plan on applying ED. I’m planning to retake them, but cornell doesn’t offer score choice, and I’m doing the Cornell Summer College Program. Will that make a difference?

I’m not sure, but I think it’s definitely worth going to! Good luck with the summer program!!
