I am a hopeful California transfer student attempting to gain admission to LSU. I have 37 college hours earned and a GPA of 3.4. What are my chances?

It would give us a better idea of your chances, if you posted more information.

No harm in hoping haha.

Hm ok more info…I had a lower GPA in High school (around a 2.9 unweighted, 3.1 weighted at the end of my senior year) and I took the ACT once, got a 26. Briefly I attended a JC in Louisiana, got around a 3.7 gpa for the work I completed there (13 units). Now I live in CA again and attend a JC, my GPA at my current school is around 3.4. The only thing I have time to do, besides school, is work. I know the req’s for LSU transfers is 2.5 gpa or better on all college work and a minimum of 30 hours…I have a better GPA than that, more hours than that, but I don’t know my realistic chances for acceptance.

I think you will get in. Best of luck!

Your chances are VERY realistic. Enjoy those SEC football games when you are there! How do you look in Purple and Gold?

Sweet that’s good to hear…I was unsure if it’s more difficult for oos students. I sent my stuff in a week ago, and I’m super excited to hear from them…even if I don’t get in, at least I tried.

i wouldn’t be too worried, you look like an excellent candidate.
