should i even bother?

This year im taking physics GT or honors, but its not Physics AP. The teacher said that there is a AP physics test that doesnt use any calculus and he recommends that if we are getting good grades on his tests, then we will probably get good scores on this AP test. The thing is though we would have to put in extra time to learn topics not covered in class. Also, I am going to take AP physics next year anyways and probably take the harder AP tests that do involve calculus. I am wondering if its worth my time to take this easier physics AP test and will most top colleges even award credits for this AP test. O ya just found out, im refering to the Physics B, and next year will probably take the physics Cs.

If you're going to be taking Physics C next year, don't bother taking B this year. Colleges almost definitely won't give you credit for both, and if you're planning to be an engineering, math or science major, you'll probably be required to take (or test out of) Calculus based Physics (ie Physics C) - Physics B won't be enough.
