Should I even GO to class?

@Goldshadow, I mentioned it before you did haha.

Oh wow, can't believe I missed that ha. I'm blind. And you said it much more concisely to boot.

And some professors may give you quiz without notice. You may miss it if you don't go to class.

I....would drop the class.

Not likely in a large introductory biology class, which is the OP's dilemma.

lots of science classes at my school use like, clicker things... everyone has one, and the professor puts a question on the screen, and you click a/b/c/d (multiple choice) and it records your results

... I guess the OP doesn't have this though, but it would be a reason to go to class.

Oh yeah, I know what soccerguy's talking about. A few of my classes had those CPS clicker pads. If the the prof uses one of those, then you pretty much have to go to class... unless you can get a friend to do it for you or something.

haha i thought soccerguy meant that it would be a reason to go to class because those things are so fun to play with

lol, grade inflation?

Oh,no. Only a few people can get A or A-.

you're contradicting yourself.
first, you're advicing others to GO TO CLASS, and then next, you're saying that even if you don't attend classes, you can still get an A-, which only few people can get.

do get it?

Can I throw my problem out here as well? Both my professor and T.A. are not native English speakers and are thereby really difficult to understand. I really don't feel comfortable going to office hours just to run into the same language-barrier problem, so should I just go to peer tutoring?

...and to answer your question, I'd agree w/ what GoldShadow suggested.

...OR, I'd still attend every class and just pay attention when necessary. when not, just sit in the lecture room and do something else, such as reading a book. I'm sure you can multitask.

muzicgirl... peer tutoring, or try to get a small group together to go over things.

No,I'm not contradicting myself.
Because I believe I should do better than most students when it comes to math and physics. It's a failure to get a grade other than A.

.........................

Not really, if you go to a top school.

If the prof puts slides online, it's extremely helpful to print those out and bring them to class instead of trying to scribble down random words & diagrams.
