I'm really confused as to if or not I should take the ACT. My SAT Score is going to be above a 2100 after I get my May results, score choices. All the schools I'm applying to are on the East Coast (UVA, VTech, & JMU as a back-up). My SAT II scores are solid and I really don't want to have to prepare for another test.

Any advice?

The East cost recommends the SAT and u only need to send 1 test score in, the SAT is definitely the better choice but a good solid ACT score can help colleges make a better decision, i assume if u can get a 32+, ull be fine.

The ACT is infact, easier than the SAT, if u take some practice ACT tests, you’ll figure out in a couple of weeks or even try to take it w/o studying, maybe u would do much better on it than u really thought.

bot sure what a 2100 SAT corresponds to, but its definitely somewhere in the 30’s which is good. u should probably just take it and if u get a good act score, u can send that score in with the SAT to make the decision betters for the colleges your applying 2.

I wouldn’t take it unless you are required, since your SAT is good enough.

What if you only have an ACT score, but no SAT score?

I took both, and I found the ACT far easier, and I did significantly better on it. I’d recommend at least trying it, because you might discover that you do much better on it than you did on the SAT. As long as you don’t completely bomb it, whatever you get should help your application.
