Legacy?
My uncle went to Stanford for his masters but I doubt that will even count

so any opinions on my admission chances will be greatly appreciated!

please don’t be so dramatic. Honestly, if you weren’t already determined to reach the ivies, or some other very prestigious school, then why are you ttrying so hard in and out of school.

Ivies are a crap shoot. Even if you have the grades to qualify, ivy league schools have only so much space for so many excellent students.
Keep your options open, dont just apply to designer schools. Like stanford? Apply to Santa Clara as a safety (you’d definitely get in and they’ll give you a lot of money too)

You should apply, because there might be a chance. However, your not a legacy at Stanford, because in order to be a legacy your father or mother would have had to gone there.

Your ECs are really weak. Try for captain next year at least. It’s too late to start up with an entirely new EC because it’ll look obvious that you’re doing it for colleges, but build on what you have. Try doing more math/engineering things.

My pre-ACT scores were crappy too, but I’ve worked it up to the low 30s. Take a class, do some practice exams, and you should see it rise exponentially. And don’t forget about your SAT IIs.

Best of luck. I know it’s annoying aiming for the Ivies when you live in the Midwest, because, if your school is like mine, everyone is pretty much unaware that there are colleges out of state and being a member of three clubs makes you the queen of extracurriculars. (Of course, adcoms don’t really appear to care about that so…)

HYPSM isn’t going to happen. You might have a shot at lower-tier Ivies and schools of that caliber, but be sure to apply to safeties and matches. Good luck.
