Should I even try?

<p>Hello,
I am currently a junior at High School in Virginia. It has been my life long passion to attend Georgetown University, but I am still concerned on how I should get the Universities attention or EVEN APPLY!</p>

<p>Stats:
Above 3.0 GPA (slightly)
IB Diploma Candidate (IB- International Baccalaureate)..which is why I have such a low GPA :(
Fluent in Arabic and French
Arabic/Islamic School Tutor (active @ my mosque)
SAT- 1780
(waiting for SATII scores for French & Literature)
Originally from Casablanca, Morocco
I tutor in Arabic and French to little kids
Summer Intern at Holocaust Museum
Foreign Language Tournaments
Mid-Atlantic Black History Bowl Winner (1st & 2nd places)
Play the Piano, I do Ballet, Tennis, and Swimming
Currently pursuing 150 hours of community/volunteer in order to graduate IB
Difficult secondary school courses
Gonna have total great recomendation letters
(Applying Early Action)
(Hopefully to the Medical School)</p>

<p>No sense in sugar-coating things: your chances are quite slim - plain and simple</p>

<p>It doesn't hurt to try and see what happens. I believe Georgetown does not reject people EA, its only accepted or deferred. Maybe Georgetown may want diversity because I see that you must be fluent in Arabic, which is something that most students aren't. Unfortunately from an academic standpoint, you are facing an uphill battle to get in.</p>

<p>I'd think an application to LingLang could be more prudent. At least, from my internet gleaned knowledge.</p>
