Hey there. Posted this on another forum and I'd like to know what you all think.

Ok, so I'm an international student. In 9th grade I had a horrible grade in my AS level mathematics end of term exam which will be on my transcript. With my some serious hard work I was able to pull this grade up in time for the actual AS level math exam at the end of 10th grade even though I was missing my teacher's evening classes.

Do you think I should use the additional information section of the common app to provide some detail on how I was able to manage my time and what not with my rigourous schedule?

you can if you want lolz. my AS grade was horrid for like two terms as well. and by horrid i mean horrrrrrrid, i didnt explain it but if you feel like you need to then totally use the additional section to that. What grade did you end up with in the end though- a B?

Hey you! Yea I real fight up for that. When I did it paper 1 was ok but I didn’t finish. Paper 2 was a pain cuz I was fighting the integration with trigs. All in all I was rel happy wen I get back the results cuz I was expecting a D or sum. Lol

i didn’t do so good in AS but my school does S1 and S6 stats and so yea whatever. i’m sobering up and starting to accept the fact that a lot of rejections are heading my way. it’s immensely unfortunate but i can’t go back im time now and change anything. I just wish these US schools would realise how insanely hard our system is ughhhhhhhh

For both of our sakes, I hope they do.It’s sorta sad though. From little we’re told we need to get a high mark in SEA to get into prestige school. Then it’s you need however many ones at csec and cape to get a proper job or you’ll be working at KFC or sum. And in our desperation for success we end up in loads of expensive lessons classes etc. It took me five months to get a job when I finished school with “subjects” and my pay sucks. Luckily I like what I do though this application process sucking every dime I have.

Be positive my friend. Cheer up!! I don’t think you’ll get a bunch of rejections at all. Wat is S1 to S6 stats??

well i never really took lessons, i hate that sh!# and ummm P1 and S6 were the papers we did for AS math at my school. P1 was pure maths and S6 was statistics. and luckily most of the schools i applied to didn’t have application fees for a variety of reasons but still sending SAT scores and all that under stuff is charging up my damn credit card-money that I could spend to buy sexy clothes for Christmas lol lol. But anyway since we’re applying to a few schools in common who knows maybe I’ll end up going to school with you or sum, ya never know. The world is really weird hehehehe

My mom still toting that I insisted against lessons in form six. I would have gotten the scholarship but at the expense of my ECs. I cant imagine my life w/o my steelband or performing at gigs even though I make not a thing from it. Cant wait for music festival next year XD

That’ll be rel cool if we end up at the same place!! If all schools had no app fees… wat are sum you know of?

well colgate doesnt have an app fee if you’re int’l and i know that you’re applying there so yea :d
bee tee dubs how did yew do in that “wonderful” thing known as CAPE

Heh heh heh, Hurricane CAPE. Not too shabby. Aced Math and Chem, Didn’t really care much for Comm and Carib Stud. And well Physics was not my forte. Though I loved unit 2 physics but I blanked on module 3 of the exam the profile looked like this : A,A,C I still feel bummy about that one!

oh my that suckssssss @ the phys thing

What CAPe subjects do you do??

lolz lolz lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
