Should I explain my W(withdrawal) on the UC Application or not?

So this Spring I received a W in an econ class. This is my explanation I plan to give:

"I withdrew [econ course number] as I had accidentally enrolled in it and thought I had dropped it but did not realize I was still enrolled until after the drop deadline. It was an oversight on my part. A significant portion of the grade had already been graded, which I missed, and I thought if I started from that point, halfway through, my final grade wouldn’t reflect my actual performance in the class. It was neither a major nor a GE req and it wasn’t a class I wanted to take so I thought withdrawing was best. "

Do you think I should provide this explanation, or is it better to not say anything?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Nah, you’re fine.

@Sachte that sounds awfully detailed. Unless they specifically contact you about this, I don’t think you should go into such a detailed explanation. If you feel like you need to say something, “enrolled by mistake” is more than enough.
