Should I explain or not?!

<p>Hi! I had straight As for my 1st quater but a couple of bs in the 2nd so I ended up having 2 Bs for my senior 1st semester. </p>

<p>I know 2 Bs is really not a big deal but I know I could have made straight A's.
I caught the swine flu and sinus infection right after the recovery, so I missed about two weeks of school. Also, my granddad passed away so I had to fly back to my home(I am an international student living in the boarding school) and missed about two weeks.</p>

<p>Should I explain this? I think my two bs will hurt me a bit since my classes this year are easier than classes I took in my junior year.</p>

<p>Yes, I think it would be to your advantage to explain your grades’ drop especially since admissions is especially difficult for international students.</p>
