Should I flip my schedule for the spring semester?

Hello everyone! I can’t believe the fall semester is going to be ending pretty soon! First off a nice break for Thanksgiving then just 1.5 weeks of class then finals week begins! It has gone really fast! Most know I spaced my classes to M/W/F and honestly I can’t complain too much! Is good and bad like any schedule. Lot more driving with 3 class days over 2, shorter class time is neat, dead time out of class isn’t too long compared to T/TH.

With all that being said I have the same type of schedule again in the Spring with M/W/F classes. I was curious as if it would be best to flip it over to a T/TH schedule again like I have done in Spring semesters already. As I live in a state where snowy days can come and go, sometimes it can be bad however it is different every winter. I commuted on a T/TH schedule last spring and snowy weather impacted about a quarter of my class days. With more days of driving there might be more snowy days to deal with, and it may be more harder to wake up more during a season I dislike going out and about but sometimes we have to!

If I did T/TH I would have on campus classes at 9:30, 11:00, and 12:30 all 1 hr. 15 minutes and 2 online courses, currently with my M/W/F I have 4 classes from 9-1 and be done at 1 with just one online class. My major is a Business major where there are no specific required classes to take at special times, just business electives are necessary. The ones I currently am scheduled in are interesting, the T/TH offerings look kinda boring.

My thoughts on this was with M/W/F there are more days of class so if I absolutely had to take a snow day it could happen since I don’t miss as much as say T/TH where they meet just twice and missing material in those classes accumulates fast.

Just a situation until next year when I may live on campus again since new, elite apartment buildings will be open.

Ask yourself if the shorter, more frequent classes have help you to be successful and how you would do with an additional on-line class. You have to know yourself to determine which is best for you.

I don’t mentally give myself an out to skip classes because of weather. If the school is open, I’m there and do whatever I need to do to make it happen. Also, I wouldn’t like on-line classes and prefer to hear the professor, face to face.

Bottom line, I recommend your take the more interesting classes MWF because you are in college to learn. When you have a choice, there is no need to torture yourself in classes you don’t find interesting.
