Just want some opinions......

You honestly dont even need a computer. But it all depends on what your school uses as software. If it uses applications that don't have mac variants, then ya will most likely want to get a pc. A computer is nothing more than a tool. So get the tool that fits the job.

You can be successful with either.

Of course a computer would make life a lot easier.

Since you're asking the question, I'm assuming you have a personal preference for macs. Those should still be okay for the most part if you have a program that can simulate windows.

Ah the old Mac v Pc arguments of the new millennium.

How about Linux!
Linux > Mac + Windows

Like everyone's saying... get whichever you like; anything aside from e-mail and microsoft office stuff, you'll probably end up doing in a university computer lab.

Doesn't really matter, whichever you prefer.

Though I suggest at least having a Windows partition because all software your school uses will work on Windows but not neccessarily on MacOS or Linux.

Get anything that meets your school's requirements.

It really doesnt matter. You would probably be more enthusiastic about using it if you got the one you wanted.
