Should I get a MD/PhD?

<p>I'm still in hs but I'm looking into possible careers/majors. I am really interested in drug development and research, I would love to research viruses. I also would be very interested in treating people and getting involved in something like Doctors Without Borders. I'm torn between Microbiology or the MD/PhD program. What exactly could I do with a MD/PhD?</p>
