Hi, I am an architecture major, and I am trying to decide if I should get my real estate license this summer. When I get my architecture license I want to practice real estate development. I know a real estate license is not required for developers, but I thought it would be helpful so I can buy and sell property. Also it gives me the opportunity to get real estate experience so I could potentially get a broker’s license. Should I get my real estate license this summer or should I wait and just take core classes instead or not take it at all? I am a freshmen so I have plenty of time, however I plan to get architecture internships for the next few summers, so this might be my only chance to get my real estate license. What can I do with a real estate salesperson license and a brokers license and how do they differ? Will this be beneficial for developers? What licensing is needed for land developers? Also will an architecture license be beneficial as a developer so I can design my own property or is it not needed? Thank you so much for your time and help.
