Hey. I plan on having a Msc in Finance right after college (1 year program of Princeton) and then after 3-4 years I plan on having an MBA (Harvard). Because I want to have both the financial and management skills. Is there an alternative way to get two skills faster? How will employers look at me?

I appreciate your help.

Worry about getting into Princeton first.

You will have more time and better people to ask during your four or more years there, not to mention your 3 to 4 years in industry afterward.

My husband did a two year MBA program and at the same time got his Masters in Finance with just two extra classes. It was an easy choice and well worth it.

It looks great to employers and widens your perceived breadth of experience.

I’m not sure about your particular situation, but if you can find something similar (a program that lets you do both quite easily), I would say go for it.

Well, my first thing is to make money in that 3-4 years. And finance could help.

You might get a job after you have your MS that is great with a career path that doesn’t require an MBA. Keep an open mind and let it play out. You’re not going to get any mgmt skills in your MBA program, you’ll get theory and knowledge but the actual skills are developed on the job
