Should i get it re-scored?

I just got my score report for November:

-1 on Math was a 760. Ouch. That's one stupid mistake on a "hard" question that dropped me 40 points.

Also, on Writing, I only missed one. It says I omitted 4, but I honestly have zero recollection whatsoever of omitting anything (I was going for a 2400, so I distinctly remember telling myself to answer everything). That dropped me from an 800 to a 750.
SHOULD I GET IT RE-SCORED BY HAND?

I have a feeling I didn't erase another bubble properly, and so the computer couldn't figure out which answer I put or not, idk.

what was your overall score?

2270 superscored.

Anyway, math ****es me off. I was so certain I had aced it. 800--->760 on 1 question is so stupid. Can't I get a mulligan? hahaha

Also, if I got those writing points back, that boosts me to a 2310!

that sucks... but i guess those things come with taking a test..

just forget about it. Happens all the time. Work on that one question that you had problems with and ace it next time.

Its just motivation that's all.

Sat sucks anyways, what does one test prove ? Nothing. I have a Ba psychology and have taken psychometics.

The sat is flawed because if you want to sample behavior u need to take multiple sample to get a good picture of performance.

^ you're flawed because you answer SAT questions incorrectly :p

I concur with cocorain.

^ That's ridiculous. On any other day, many 2400 scorers could've gotten an unexpected curveball (random vocab they didn't study), flunked the essay, or simply had a brain fart. Luck is involved once you pass a certain threshold per section, and you know it.

Plus, I don't really mind if I'm only 99% efficient at something, as opposed to 100% efficient, as long as I'm also 99% efficient in a bunch of other things ;)

For instance, I could pwn plenty of 2400s in speech and debate, theatre, basketball, and walk-offs (any Zoolander fans? lol)

/bitter rant.

1) a 2260 is not the result of chance. you chose your answers, you didn't roll a die.
2) luck doesn't take over after a certain threshold. it is constantly at play, but if you're good enough it becomes
a non-factor
3) haven't you gotten similar scores in the past? it doesn't seem like bad luck,
considering you got nearly the same score last time

luck does indeed play a part but ChoklitRain is right in guessing that if you become familiar enough with every sort of test question, it becomes a nonfactor. now, if you're 2350 and above, then i'll say luck kept the 2400 away but don't say luck kept you away from 2400 when you have a 2260 because well, you can compare the number of 2400s per sitting and the number of 2260.
