Hello, and thank you in advance for your comments and advice. I scored a four on my AP human geography exam. I know it’s a good score, but throughout the year I had a 98 average, I won an award from the teacher for the class, and on numerous occasions I was told I was going to get a five. The real reason I am considering a rescore is because on one of the sections on the test I had to re-bubble 10 of my answers because I got off and caught my mistake. I am concerned that the machine picked up my erased answer and my actual answer on each question and counted it incorrect for having two answers on one question. Is this possible? Will this be fixed with the rescore? And finally, should I get my test rescored?
If you want to blow the money, go for it. However, no guarantees that what happened caused an issue, or even that you’d get a 5 if you actually got some of those correct. You were “told” you were going to get a 5? That’s next to meaningless, unfortunately.
I’m glad that you did well in the class and feel confident. Just know that it is very unlikely that your score will go up. Possible, but very unlikely. Again, feel free to go for it if you really think that was an issue.
Agreed. It’s unlikely to change, but if you want to spend the $30, go for it.
Thank you for your comments. I have thought about it and decided that I will try to rescore my test just to see what would happen. I do not want to lose hope. @“Keasbey Nights” - my teacher is the one that said that I would get a five and two of my friends from my class got fives and I did better than them in the class all year. Please do not automatically assume that my teacher doesn’t know what they are talking about. You maybe right that my score won’t change, but isn’t it better to try and fail than not try at all when you could have tried and succeeded?
Why do you want a rescore though? 4s and 5s are the same in terms of winning college credit for the most part.
