Should I Get My Essay Rescored?

I recently took ACTs and my score came out just as I had hoped it would so I was very pleased; however, the only glitch on it is that I got a 9 on the essay. I was so confident in the essay and was feeling like it could be at least a 10 if not higher, yet I got a 9. I am thinking that if I get it rescored I could have the 10. I know it does not affect composite, but I feel like that was a very strong essay and a 10 would just finish it off.

Has anyone ever tried it, and if so how did it turn out? I am aware that it could easily be rescored to a 8, which is the only reason I am hesitant. Thank you!

(Not sure if this is something to consider or not, but I have taken the SATs twice and received a 10 on both of those essays. This is my first time taking ACTs, but I was aware of the different grading styles).

No. No one cares about the essay unless it’s sub 8.
