Should I get my Math credits?

<p>Hi.
I'll be either a BME engineer or a ChemE engineer.</p>

<p>I can get the
M408C Credit with my AP cal score</p>

<p>and the
M 305G credit with my SAT 2 score.</p>

<p>That's total of 7 hours of just math.</p>

<p>my questions are...
1) As an engineer, am i still allowed to be exempted out of these classes?
2) Should I exempt these classes? I am good at math, but I don't want to have a weak foundation...Highschool math is easier than college math, you know...</p>

<p>I think the 305G is just a bonus, 3 extra credits that bump you closer to being a sophomore. I see no harm in claiming it.</p>

<p>If I were going into engineering, I’d probably take the C D calculus sequence as classes at Texas rather than using AP credit for it. See what your advisor says.</p>
