A little background info:I’m a part of this program that gives me my own counselor, who helps me through the college application process, and throughout the year we do college tour trips, etc.So on Tuesday September 29 a college admissions officer is coming to the organizations office to speak with any students who are interested in this particular college. I’m interested in this college so I signed up to go, but I forgot that I have piano lessons on Tuesdays from 5:00-6pm while this meeting with the admissions officer is on September 29 Tuesday at 5:00. So should I go to my piano lesson or cancel my piano lesson and meet the admissions officer instead?
Depends on how interested you are about the school and if showing interest is an important part of the application process. Perhaps you can reschedule your piano lesson that week.
It’s only one piano lesson; I can’t see why you shouldn’t cancel this one so you can go talk to the admissions officer on that day.
Call the piano teacher, explain the situation and reschedule the lesson. It’s best to do this ASAP; if you can call your piano teacher tonight or tomorrow, do so.
Cancel the piano lesson.
Calc exam = don’t skip (but see if you can stop in before or after to introduce yourself). Piano lesson = cancel or reschedule, assuming you have a real interest in the school.
Okay. Thanks for all your replies. I was conflicted, but I do have a general interest in the school and since majority agrees to cancel the piano lesson I will. Thanks so much!
I can’t believe you have come this far without ever having had to cancel and reschedule a piano lesson. It’s usually not a big deal.
@takeitallin
I guess it isn’t really a big deal, but I was conflicted on whether it was really worth it to miss a piano lesson for it, since I greatly value my piano lessons. Also, I can’t reschedule to another day of the week since Tuesday is the only available date for me to have a lesson.
Anyways thanks for your help.
