I am currently a freshman and I am hoping to attend either MIT or Oxford for Computer Science. Here's my story. Throughout the very beginning of my school career, we're talking about from kindergarten to the 2nd grade(there's no pre school graduate here, that just adds more to it,doesn't it?),I've been dubbed as very stupid and incapable of ever succeeding. In the third grade, they had transferred me to advanced language arts and average mathematics classes. In the 8th grade, I was rejected by this top notch math and science academy mainly because I was taking pre algebra that year. Now, I'm taking algebra 1 in the 9th grade!! I wanted to take a java outline course offered in my school this year, but I needed to have taken algebra 1 already. I wanted to take it over the summer, but my high school wouldn't give me credit for it. Now, I have to take Java my sophomore year and AP Computer Science A junior year. I'm also stuck in algebra. I also don't thin my gpa so far is going to cut it,ruined due to pointless family drama.

Midterm exams are starting up, this coming tuesday, and I know I can achieve high marks on them. Will these marks ruin my chances at MIT or Oxford's computer science undergraduate programs? Did I also mention the student poised to be valedictorian who is taking Plane and Solid Geometry(honors) is also jet set on MIT? Thank you all very much.

You’re only a freshman. There’s still hope! Don’t worry!
But, you need to improve every single B to at least an A- for next year since your performance this year was average. Just get tutoring in classes that you’re having trouble with. I believe in you! :)

Quit worrying so much. You have THREE years to make up for any screw ups in your past. Keep your head up and focus on making your high school career the best it can be without worrying about what colleges think about you. Good luck!
