So the other night I was trying to sleep on my bed and suddenly my body just frozed, but I was absolutely concious. Like I can open my eyes but I was shocked that I cannot move my body at all, literally I cannot even move any part of my body, I was freaking out but 10 seconds later I suddenly can move my body freely.

Sometimes after an energy drink after dinner I would stay up until maybe 4 o'clock and barely getting more than 2 hours' of sleep, but the next i felt perfectly fine again and even more energetic? What the hell is wrong with me????

Sleep paralysis.

Some people do not require large amounts of sleep to function throughout the day. You may be one of the lucky ones.

To answer your original question, yes.

I have the same thing…except I have the “panic attacks” that go along w/ it (sometimes called the “Old Hag Syndrome”)…

Found out it was either b/c I wasn’t getting enough sleep, having too much stress, not exercising, or keeping a regular sleep schedule.

*Also, found out that you don’t need to go to the doctor, unless you have it numerous times in a short period of time.

Yes go to the doctor. It seems to me you have some sort of periodic paralysis, most likely sleep paralysis as ladyjacket said

Not sure how severe yours is but i get that sometimes too. When i wake up, i can’t move my body for a few seconds- is that all it is?

how do you feel the day after?

yes i think you should see the doctor. just go make sure that you have what the above posters said.

Do you mean that you’re tired and just can’t fall asleep? Or you just don’t feel tired at all? If it’s the latter, then I’m positive it’s the energy drink. These drinks contain A LOT of caffeine, more than coffee. So that may be why you’re not tired.

P.S don’t drink too many energy drinks, too much caffeine is not good for you! :O

I usually get medical advice from Yahoo Answers whenever I need it. Unless you have a super rare disease or disorder, yahoo answers is probably just as good a source as any doctor. Only difference is that yahoo answers can’t write a prescription if you need one, but if not you’ve saved yourself a couple hundred bucks.

I seriously hope you’re joking.

“I seriously hope you’re joking.”

I know it sounds like I am but I’m not. I’m not an idiot, and I can separate the garbage from people who know what they’re talking about. People really underestimate Yahoo Answers.

Now, obviously if I’m having a stroke I’m not going to try to skip the doctor and just ask people on yahoo answers what I should do, but if it’s not an emergency…

Three cheers for sleep paralysis.

Fun stuff, ain’t it?
Not much you can do except wait until it’s over. It tends to last only for a few seconds…but feels much longer.
I get it a lot when I’m stressed.
