you’re an international student asking for financial aid?
uhh…how much aid we talking here?

almost full ride!!! :frowning:
but i think Yale is need-blind

I think you are overall a strong applicant, but if you are applying for financial aid, it might be a bit more hard for you. But you should still apply because you might never know what’s really gonna happen :)

Yale is need-blind for internationals. It doesn’t affect OP’s application.

im gonna tell you what i pretty much tell everyone… if you think you’re gonna get some nice awards, retake SAT/SATII/ACT, etc. after SCEA, don’t do it. if you think you’re not, do it. intel semifinalist was a big thing for me, and that was after SCEA (even after RD), so i didn’t bother to apply early anywhere. make sure you don’t fudge your essays quickly just for the sake of making the deadline for SCEA, TAKE YOUR TIME.

CCPWNZ: thats exactly what i am talking about
All my credentials are up to the mark, but Intel results are a big thing for me and they’ll come after SCEA deadline. That means i wont apply early anywhere!!! isn’t it???

Isn’t the acceptance rate for Internationals way lower than for Domestic applicants?

don’t, since getting rejected (NOT deferred) from EA/REA/SCEA/ED SUCKS.

OK, you are competitive and you might as well apply early but don’t be surprised if you are deferred to RD.

Of all your awards, don’t highlight: >>>the Gulu Thadani Award for excellency in behaviour and good conduct(for two consecutive years…) >>>

I’m serious. Try to get the “bad conduct” award instead :)

Well,what does that mean?
