I have already been accepted to Chico State for animal science which is my top choice major. However my top choice school is UC Davis for animal science , then Cal Poly Slo . Then San Diego State for biology , then UCSB . Say I do not get into any of these schools, how is Chico state? I love that it has animal science and I don’t mind the party scene . But what about its academics and it’s sports. I do plan to go to veterinary school and I want to make sure that I have a quality education so I will be able to make it .
How many veterinary clinics have you used, where you inquired about the veterinarian’s bachelor’s degree?
Have you visited Chico state? I suggest you visit every school you are considering. It really is difficult to get a feel for a school without a visit.
No , I mean I want to be able to get a high enough test score to get into veterinary school .
No, I probably will go to choose chico
Look at the link provided. It spells out what you need to get into Vet school. Which school you attend as an undergrad as little bearing. Go to the school as the best fit, where you will in the top of your classes and where you can get some hands on experience.

Where did you decide? My daughter is a pre-vet/Animal Science major at Chico right now. They have a pre-vet program specifically designed to make sure you fulfill the requirements for Davis. She too had similar list to yours but was accepted to Chico and chose it. We are very happy with the rigor of the academics however the social life (party scene) is worse than you can imagine. She is in her 2nd year and it is better but was difficult and distracting freshman year. I recommend Sutter hall if you are living on campus. To be a pre-vet major you will have very tough classes/schedule in order to graduate in 4 years, if that is even possible. You need to stay focused. This is true at any campus but challenging at Chico.
