I have been accepted to both App-State and UNC Charlotte. I am having trouble deciding which college would be best for me. For the past few years I have always thought I wanted to go to app. I enjoyed my tour there but wasn't sure if I fit in completely. There were a lot of "shaggy" stoner type people it seemed. I love the mountains and snow. I wasn't expecting to like UNCC before I toured but after touring I really fell in love with it. I live 30 min from Charlotte so the fact that it is close is a drawback but my friends that go there say you forget that you're near home and they love it and it's actually easier to come home IF they need to but they usually don't. There's so many differences in ASU and UNCC. App is secluded in the mountains and rural where as UNCC is very very modern and fancy. And I feel they would have the newest equipment for learning. I do not know what I want to major in yet, all I know is something science related. I felt the people at UNCC were more like me sort of and more classy I guess you could say. In Charlotte I would have more opportunities for jobs and internships and since I don't know what I want to do yet I think maybe a big city would have more opportunities for me. I'm questioning my thoughts because I always planned to go to App and I don't want to make the wrong decision and not go there. I love snow and the mountains but I also like classy fancy and modern stuff like UNCC. And I hear UNCC doesn't have as much of a "college town" feel so how important is it to have that feel during my college experience. Thanks. Please reply soon.
