Having same problems!!! The one and only aspect keeping me from enrolling to Cal is tuition.

I’ve narrowed down choices to UW and UC Berkeley

Berkeley has been one of my dream schools and so I was really really really happy to be admitted; I’m wanting to major in either law or international relations/studies which Berkeley is really well known for (grad).

UW is awesome because I’m WA resident and UW is only hr away so I’m pretty familiar with the area (of course, UW being so huge, I’ve only explored so much). i could commute if needed as well since I’m not too fond of their dorms and Seattle isn’t the best place for apartments either…

I received no aid from them either. Both schools being public and my father’s income = no aid :(

Money is the only issue
Berkeley will cost me estimate $216 grand for undergrad, UW will cost me $90 grand, if not less, for undergrad. The difference is just too much to overlook.

My dad is all for Berkeley and he’s totally committed to paying…and I love and appreciate him so much for that support - but I also can’t accept it. I feel so wrong having my father pay so much for my education
It’s tearing me apart trying to decide!!!

I’m stuck alongside all of you guys!!! Is it really worth it to go to Berkeley?
