Did you mean $20,000 for four years? There’s no way that a CSU can cost $200,000 for four years.

how much do csu cost lol

Four years of CSULB should not cost anywhere near $200,000, according to

Tuition at Cal States is less than $6000 per year so I don’t know where you got the $200,00 figure. A friend of my D’s graduated from FIDM a few years ago. She found that it really didn’t get her the types of jobs that would move her up. She was working at minimum wage jobs. She ended up going back and getting her Bachelor’s from a Cal State and wished she had gone there first. She had a lot of debt from FIDM that she has to pay off. She feels FIDM was overpriced and did not give her the well rounded education that employers want. You should try to find others who have attended as they may have a different perspective.

Thank you for the inpute @takeitallin

Are you an out of state resident? I was trying to figure out how a cal state education would cost you $50K per year. Did you mean a UC education as a non-resident?

FIDM is a for-profit university like art institutes. Those types of schools were established to trick students into attending them so that they could get money from grants. These schools rely a lot on advertisements. I would say that cal state is the way to go. Youll spend the same amount youll spend at fidm for one year in four years. And you will receive a far better education. Best of luck :)

FIDM is a rip-off. My niece talked her parents into letting her go there. She now has “degree” that isn’t really recognized. If she wanted a Bachelors degree, she’d have to start over. What a waste…and she doesn’t have a job even though she graduated 3 years ago.

Where did you get the idea that FIDM would only cost you $40k total? And where did you get that crazy CSU cost? Are you just making things up?

I’ve only heard bad things about FIDM so I’d advise attending a CSU over FIDM!
Are you in-state (your parents live in CA and pay taxes there)?
A CSU should cost you about $22,000/year all inclusive (with tuition, fees, housing, food, books, travel, and personal expenses) if you’re in-state.
It’d cost much less if you’re commuting from home.
