Should I go to GMU or CNU?

I'm 17 and graduating this year and I'm looking to go to either GMU or CNU to probably major in biology and pursue premed requirements. Strictly academic wise, which school would be better off for this purpose? From what I've heard, GMU isn't well known for its biology major and I haven't heard of what their premed program is like. I've heard CNU has a pretty decent biology program, but i haven't heard much else about them. Would love to hear back opinions/advice about which school you think i'd be better off at! Thanks!

They’re very different schools but I think both would be fine in terms of a major in biology. I would look more at what type of school you want to go to as they are opposites in many ways. Do a little more thinking about what you want in a school.

I’m not exactly sure how well-known either of their bio programs but I don’t think that it would be a big enough difference to ultimately impact you. If I were you, I would go to CNU. CNU is a lot smaller than Mason and you are more likely to get personalized attention at CNU. Also Mason is a commuter school for a lot of people. If you want the college experience then you may find that lacking at Mason whereas CNU is not a commuter school and most of the freshmen live in dorms. Also, CNU has a gorgeous campus and everything is very new whereas Mason’s campus is not that attractive in my opinion. I think if you want a larger college then go to Mason but if you want a smaller college go to CNU. I have visited both campuses and I would pick CNU in a heartbeat.
