i love new york...A LOT..but i dont want to choose a college just because of a city...plus i can go to study in new york for grad school if i really wanted to

arghhh so hard to decide????
so i want to double major in journalism and visual arts and minor in business (or something to that extent)

i love both schools soo much. at bu, i got a university scholarship and i got into the university professors program, which is like a school within a school or only about 30 students. at nyu, i absolutely loved visiting and all of my friends say they see me as a new yorker. i kinda feel like a need structure for undergraduate school, but both bu and nyu are city schools and i dont care about the "college experience" BS that much. i dont really need a campus badly so i am fine with both bu and nyu in that sense.

if someone could help me decide...that would be nice. or, at least, tell me what you think.

nyu as a whole is a far better school than BU. However, i do recall that BU's communication and journalism majors are really good. NYU's visual arts and business program are amazing. If money is not an issue, i'd say go to nyu.

BU is horrible, they inflate there SAT scores by not including jocks and legacies or something like that.... my friend goes there and during orientation they said the real average SAT score was mid 1100's and she was ****ed.

its dangerous to pick a school that is only good at one thing, because you will probably change majors. go to nyu. new york is the media capital of the world, after all. BU sucks overall, even though one very talented person I know is picking its honors program over BC Honors.

Yeah I agree with the above posters... NYU is way better than BU... I would say that the two schools are in different leagues in both reputation and quality

I guess you've chosen by now lol, but if you're going to be in UNI, then you should go to BU. You have so much freedom to create your own major. And as for journalism, BUs COM school is the best in the country. I know NYC is a big draw, but Boston is the best college town in the country. Something like 1/4 of everyone in Boston is a college student. NYU is a great school and you'll do great there if you go, but BU does have a lot to offer if you dont care that it's like 10 schools behind NYU in the US News Rankings. Good Luck!!
