Should I go to NYU or ......

Let's put up the other schools to which we were accepted and invite comments. List two schools and two objectives .

I'm in at Gallatin and Cornell.

My objective is to get a Lib Arts edu. AND to promote my young career as a web publisher.

What do you think? Door # 1 or Door # 2?

my choice is either go to a small liberal arts school where i have a full ride, plus money left over (Beloit) or take out a bazillion loans and go to Tisch.

schools: umich or nyu stern or washu olin

objectives: get rich via business school

no decent scholarship from any school but i'm umich instate

mich_girl88,

all great for business. congrats.

Goal: International relations opportunities, study abroad, and getting the typical college student city life.

Options (more than two, opinions are very much wanted!!)
University of Wisconsin-Madison
BU
GWU
and of course, NYU

hakunamatata, i'd go with either NYU or GWU since they're both great in terms of international relations (i don't know what GWU's study abroad is like, but NYU's is pretty go.) I'm guessing GWU might give you a slight advantage in terms of international relations b/c of the D.C. location, but being in NYC certainly won't hinder your ability to pursue a career in international relations. Congrats on your acceptances

collegecheck, thanx! i'm having a H E L L of a time deciding but i've already narrowed it down to umich and nyu i think. i still need to wait for ucla, ucb, uchicago, harvard, dartmouth, and columbia tho. but realistically i think i'm just deciding btwn umich and nyu.

if I was in in-state at UMich, I'd totally go there - dead cheap! As it was, being 5 min over the border didn't count, so NYU ended up being the cheaper school.

i don't know for sure but i think ill be accepted (and choosing between)

boston U
new york U

and i applied here, but i really don't think ill get in

amherst college.

Chanel

Full Ride

hakunamatata

NYU
Emory
University of Florida
University of Miami
Northeastern University

I'm waiting to hear from Brown and Columbia but right now NYU is my #1

NYU (my first choice)
or University of Maryland with a full ride (instate)

its so hard to choose for me. i also got into Indiana (direct admit into Kelley Business with financial aid of 14,000 a year) but i'm definetly not going there

my number one dilemna would be if i got into Penn. It's not my first choice but i think its cheaper than NYU since they cover all your need. plus its the best in business (enough said)

with what I've heard so far.. NYU v. UCSD for a bio major. UCSD rocks at bio apparently, but apparently NYU bio courses suck.. and I got $2000 a year for UCSD but also a Sunday at the Square invite for NYU.

I'm waiting to hear from UCLA, JHU, Brown, Columbia.. but I predict I'll only get into UCLA and JHU /= so it really comes down to NYU/UCLA/JHU.. hmmmmm.

try Cornell cause NYU's financial aid sucks most times

schools: Umich, NYU, Carleton College
objective: begin as econ major and try to transfer to business school (for mich and NYU)
finances: 4,000 loans for carleton per year
8,950 loans for NYU per year
5,500 loans for Umich per year

where should i go with an ultimate goal of ending up in law school

why do you say that? just curious, maybe you know something I don't know.

the facilities aren't that great and when i visited i didn't find myself there. and the umd full ride is looking tempting. i just got waitlisted at upenn so i'm going to try my hardest to reverse it but there are no guarentees. nyu gave me 16,500 out of the 50,000 i needed.

NYU or northeastern? (<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=321856%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=321856</a>)</p>

Alright, so I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do. I'm leaning towards journalism or psychology. Should I go to the University of Miami, University of Florida, NYU, or Emory?

Thanks
