Hi guys, lately, I just got out of the wait-list and been accepted to Purdue. If I decide to go Purdue, I am planning to change the major to computer engineering at Purdue (I don’t recall what major I registered earlier, but it is not engineer-related). However, I have finished all the documents for George Mason (computer engineering major). So I only have two more days to decide what school I should go to. What do you guys think I should choose?
Before you turn away George Mason, you should call Purdue admissions. If you were admitted to the general college, I don’t think it automatically means you can enroll in Purdue’s College of Engineering.
Thank you @T26E4, I did send an email asking about what you said. Their response is that I should submit a form to change major, then they will consider if I am qualify and if there is space available in that Computer Engineering major
Does Purdue change their admission process this year? I remember they only admitted students into first year engineering instead of specific major last year.
@billcsho , I don’t know man, but I got into Computer & Information Technology (School of Technology- I just checked from Common App :P)
Go through the process of changing your major and ask them specifically if there is room for you to switch over. If not, don’t turn down George Mason.
@TheDidactic , Thank you, that is what I have been doing
They say that they will reply me in 2 weeks whether or not I can join computer engineering, and I have 3 weeks from now to accept or to decline their offer
