Should I go to UCLA or UC Davis? Why or Why not?

I am a transfer student and have been accepted to several UC's, but I have narrowed my decision down to UCLA and UC Davis. I am currently majoring in Anthropology. As of now, I like UC Davis more than UCLA, however, I would like to know some statistics on if it is really better from a career stand-point to go to UCLA. I am not sure what I want to do with my degree yet, which is probably part of the problem. The following is a list of Pro's & Con's for each school (please tell me what you think after reading them): Pro's for UCLA: Prestigious, Offered me a $15,000 scholarship for my first year, Supposed to have great job connections after graduation, Always something going on, I would make my family proud. Con's for UCLA: It is in the center of LA (I have lived in the OC my entire life & was hoping to get out of SoCal), everyone that I have met who goes there is somewhat stuck up (I'm sure there are some nice people there, but that's the vibe I've gotten so far), my boyfriend is going to UC Davis, I didn't feel as good there as I did when I went to Davis, I have heard classes are super competitive (even though I consider myself to be a somewhat intelligent individual and think it's good to be academic, I prefer to have a social life mixed in the picture so I don't get overstressed from my studies). Pro's for UC Davis: It's a beautiful city; One of the few college towns left in the US; Everyone rides bicycles (I love to ride my bike); Good academics and less competitive than UCLA; Friendly environment and people; Picnic and Whole Earth Festival Days; Cheaper housing; My boyfriend goes there; Close to San Fransisco & Sacramento. Con's for UC Davis: Only giving me a $9,000 scholarship; My Boyfriend could be a potential distraction; Not as prestigious or reputable as UCLA; I don't know if I would be making less money with a degree from here than UCLA; My parents would be disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and answer my question. It is truly appreciated. :)

you should go to UC-Davis, UCLA and UC-Davis are both very good schools so I think your parents can get over it after a while. If you think you like UC-Davis and think that you can thrive in a non-competitive environment, it seems that you should go to UC-Davis. And about making more money, if you really devote yourself to your studies and getting work experience through co-op/internships, getting to know your professors etc… you will get an excellent job if you succeed at UC-Davis.

On an undergraduate level, in the liberal arts, the difference in prestige between UCLA and Davis is negligible. Go where you feel most comfortable and where you feel you can better succeed as a student.

If you like UC-Davis better, go there unless money’s a factor. Your college experience will most likely be effected by your current view of the college. If you go into college thinking it will so-so, it probably will be. If you think it’ll be better, it probably will be. Go where you feel most comfortable.

EDIT: Haha, didn’t even look at the above post and my last sentence was the same as the poster above me’s phrase. We must be right!
