SHould I go to UNC!?!?!

Alright, so I'm originally from the midwest but went to school on the west coast at UC-Santa Barbara and now i am looking to transer because i want to pursue a major in journalism and, well, i want to have more of the "college experience". I've been accepted to UNC, but i am having major second thoughts because i really don't like UC but NC is the complete opposite of Cali. However, I am from the Midwest and have grown up around MU and kU my whole life. ALSO i considered and applied to U. of MIssouri because they have a great J-school and its close to home, but is UNC a better choice?!?! The money turns out about the same. I dunno and i have to decide! help!

I'm transferring from California to UNC. I'm totally turned off by the whole UC system and am really excited about my choice. If you're looking for the "college experience", everyone i've talked to gives chapel hill rave reviews. good luck with whatever you decide.

Go to UNC. Great reputation, incredibly friendly, and an amazing college experience. You can't go wrong. Its a no brainer in my opinion.

As I've posted in lot's of other threads, UNC is about as "college" as it gets. Big sports games (especially basketball, UNC kids go nuts), big frat parties (there are tons), and pretty good academics (the journalism program is quite renowned). Keep in mind though that you will be in the South and there will be a lot of kids from middle-of-nowhere North Carolina with the whole religious/conservative thing going on. I just finished my freshman year there, and I guess the best way for me to say summarize would be that UNC is a great school if you're looking for the big public school feel. I wasn't.

yeah. chapel thrill is definitely the place to be for "college experiences" im from nc and i have alot of friends going there. it has a good rep. and is a really good school. nc isnt that bad...ok well its not cali....but chapel hill itself isnt a bad. the city was built around the campus...but it not like a lame town. it def. enhances the college experience. esp. when there's a game. i.e.- franklin street.

yes.........
