I am trying to decide where to go to college next year and my choices are WSU and UW. I've been a cougar fan my whole life as my dad graduated from WSU and we go to all the football games. For financial aid, I get about 17.5k a year from UW and 22.5k a year from WSU. I want to major in either electrical or computer engineering. At WSU, I am pretty much guaranteed a slot in the college of engineering, but at UW, it's pretty competitive. Also, I live about 25 miles from Seattle. If I went to WSU, I would have about 26 credits at both colleges, but there are only 30 credits a year at WSU vs 45 at UW. I know I'm asking on UW forum, so I expect it to be biased, but I just want to get some input. What would the better option be for me? How hard is it to get accepted to UW engineering? How hard is it to get a good GPA in the pre requisite classes at UW?
Thanks

UW Engineering will be much more competitive I can guarantee you that. If you like the environment of WSU then you should probably go there, but I think UW’s engineering curriculum will be better however, it’s going to be a lot of hard work. Not saying that WSU will be easy though.
