Should I have gotten a financial aid letter by now?

I know some people haven't even gotten decision letters yet but I was in the first wave of letters. I already got a merit scholarship and it said if I applied for need based I'd get an email soon but...nothing yet. I know some people have, has anyone else who got accepted not gotten an aid offer yet?

You might want to call and talk to the person who’s been assigned as your financial aid counselor. If you look on the U of R site under financial aid, and then go to “contact us”, it will tell you who your counselor is, based on where your last name falls in the alphabet. We handed our financial aid stuff in late, and I put a call into the office to speak to the counselor assigned to my daughter to discuss this. He was super nice and very helpful.

I was also accepted in the first RD wave and have not received any financial aid information. I haven’t read anything about RD admits receiving their aid info yet, so hopefully its coming soon!

thank you both! If it doesn’t come in another week I think I’m going to call. I guess I just need to be patient.

Check your email inbox. Our Financial Aid Office does not mail financial aid packages anymore. It is sent via email / the FA Online system to the applicant’s email address.

It might already be there! Typically the Financial Aid package should be available 10 business days after you’ve received your acceptance letter. Please call our FA Office if you have any questions or if it is beyond the 10 business day window.

TSocash- My daughter received her acceptance letter on March 18. We are still waiting to find out if she will get any financial aid because we handed our info in late. She had received a Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award as a junior in high school. We have still not heard anything about whether she was given a merit scholarship. I believe any merit awards would come via email like financial aid awards…since we haven’t received any emails regarding a merit scholarship yet, does that mean she probably wasn’t awarded one? Thank you!

Has your daughter checked her MyRoc account? IIRC, there’s a tab at the top which appears if there are any merit awards.

WayOutWestMom- We have checked her MyRoc page several times over the last week or so and don’t see any tabs for any merit awards. What I’m wondering is, if we haven’t been notified of any merit money by now (acceptance later dated March 18), does that mean she won’t get a merit award, or is it still possible she’ll be notified of an award in the coming weeks?

I wound up calling yesterday and the person I spoke to said I should get my financial aid package early next week.
I’ve seen a bunch of people say they go their merit aid, and I got the wilder scholarship 5 days after my acceptance. Your best bet would probably be to call and ask so you know for sure…

I still haven’t gotten my financial aid package. I called the school and the office said I would get it in a few days time. A few days have passed. Should I call back? … I am really concerned.

It doesn’t hurt to call. It won’t change the numbers.
