Hi I'm a junior in high school, and I am really worried about my college prospects next year.
The thing is, I moved to California after staying in South Korea for 4 years, and I haven't had much time to do a lot of extracurriculars.
Really the only extracurricular activity i've pursued for the long term is volunteering at the Salvation Army for 2 hours a week.
Should I have more extracurricular activities to make my college apps look better next year, or should I focus on volunteering? Really the main concern I have is that I don't have a lot of time left to fill my apps with impressive activities.

It honestly depends on where you plan to apply. I don’t think CSUs really look at ECs (as long as you have all your community service hours), but I believe UCs and privates do.

You could probably add 1 or 2 more things. I think that a bunch of random ECs at the end of your school carreer would look fishy on an app.

Hope I helped!
