should I have signed up for the spanish exam for orientation?

When I was signing up for orientation it never even occurred to me to sign up for the spanish exam. I've taken three years of spanish but i've forgotten alot of it. Should I have signed up for it? Is it too late to sign up for it? Btw im attending the July 19-21 session and I'm a mechanical engineering major.

you can still add placement exams to your orientation date…i was gonna take spanish but in the placement exam section, it only has french/german… :/

anyone else know the answer to this?

You only need to take the placement exam during orientation IF you plan on taking spanish for fall or winter. If not, then you can always take it at a later date. It’s offerred a couple times a quarter every quarter. I personally didn’t take it until Spring quarter of my third year.

well actually, I think it’s now SELF-placement… last year for orienation, there was no test.
