Should I have taken both?

I applied to 4 different Ivy League schools and was rejected from all of them. I realize that with the enormous applicant pools they had this year, any given factor could easily have been reason for rejection. However, I am wondering if I was at a disadvantage because I did not take the SAT I. I took the ACT, and, for the schools that required them, SAT IIs. All 4 schools said that the ACT with Writing was acceptable in lieu of the SAT I, but now I wonder if they had a preference after all.

I have scoured countless chance threads on CC, and I have not found a single other Ivy applicant who took only the ACT and not the SAT I.

Thoughts? Any other Ivy applicants out there who took only the ACT?

I’ve heard of many Ivy applicants who were accepted and only took the ACT…
ACT instead of SAT I shouldn’t make a difference

They simply convert your ACT to SAT I score so that’s not why you were rejected. I too know quite a few Ivy admits who never took the SAT I.

That’s interesting…

Okay, thanks guys. :)

=] best of luck wherever you end up!
