<p>i already have 6 activities out the 7 max you can list on the commonapp activities section, but i have not yet listed that i am in mu alpha pheta, which is a nationally recognized organization but i have not won any awards or have any officers positions in it, i am just a member. should i even include this on my application or just leave it at 6 so it looks like i am more focused on my 6 activities? i am applying to HYP schools by the way.</p>
<p>Isn’t mu alpha pheta an honor society (or so a google search tells me, I’m not really familiar with the group)? You can always stick it in the honors section if you have room. If this is really something you are passionate about and love doing, put it in. If this is something you participate every few months or so and totally forget about it until a competition comes up, don’t put it in.</p>
