Should I Include...

a DVD of a formal presentation I gave to a company while at a Governor's School and/or the paper and slideshow printout? WHat about a fifty-page research paper I did junior year? I'm just wondering what all of you have done or are doing with the idea that you can add extras to your applications. I'm applying to UVa, UNC, UMich, Cornell, Gtown and the like.... if that helps. Thanks a lot!

I would say do not include those items. No college wants a 50 page paper to read! You could mention in an essay the circumstances of your formal presentation and what you learned from the experience-why it was successful, for example. Or have one of your recommending teachers comment favorably on your performance at the presentation or the quality of your paper.
