I don't know if im gonna complete the course, but should i still report it as "in progress"? I didn't report it or anything, i just wanted to take a extra class

I wouldn’t. As far as they are concerned, you are already a student there and any CC classes you take don’t need to be reported immediately.

But I would figure out if you are going to complete it or not now. If you get a D or an F you could have a problem. A W I don’t think they’ll care about.

I’m assuming other UCs may have different levels of importance on this issue but according to my conditions for admission from Berkeley:

“Important: If you choose to attend summer session 2012, you must immediately notify your UC Berkeley Admissions Officer by email and your final, official transcript must be received in our office by September 4, 2012.”

Not too sure if that is summer for Berkeley or in general, whether that means taking it at another UC or CC I think they just want to keep up to date on all your coursework before transferring. Based on this, I’d email your admin officer asap.

Most likely it won’t be a big deal if it doesn’t transfer but you DO need to let them know about the course, like MeStudyStuff said, contact your admin office ASAP and let them know about the course

If you already submitted your transcripts you don’t need to. They aren’t going to ask you for your transcripts nor will your CCC rat you out to the UC

You need to notify them immediately. When you finish the class and receive your grade, you will need to once again send transcripts.

who is gonna know?

^You need to stop giving out false information. You’re going to get people in trouble.

They will find out, they do check. It’s very simple, whenever there is a change of schedule, you must notify them immediately, and then send transcripts when they post. Not difficult at all. All UCs have this policy. Why would the OP even want to hide this? There’s nothing to be gained from not reporting it, and everything to be lost.

Agree with LAforlife, what’s the big deal in reporting the class, when you talk to them just let them know if you won’t complete the class, if it doesn’t transfer they will not care, but they do want to know. My admissions officer at Cal made it clear that if I took any summer courses he needed to know asap so he could update my conditions of admissions, communication is key, give them the information and do what they say to do, no point in trying to hide the course-just send the transcript when the course is finished, no big deal…
