Should I join a FIG?

<p>I'll be a freshman in the fall and am wondering if anybody has any advice as to whether it'd be very beneficial for me to join a FIG freshman year? Has anybody been a part of one that can tell me what it's really like? It sounds like something I'd like to be a part of. Any advice helps! Thanks!</p>
