Should I just break-down and take the SAT subject tests?

Out of all the schools I am applying to, UPenn is the only one that requires subject tests if you choose to submit your SAT score.

I would DEFINITELY prefer to use my SAT score (2250) over my ACT score (31) but I have not taken any subject tests yet. To be honest, I really don't want to bother with taking them, at this point. But I feel like, comparatively, my ACT score alone is pretty low.

Could I possibly submit my ACT and SAT scores, so that it satisfies the requirements and the admissions people can also see my SAT score? Any other suggestions?

Aren’t you just making it easy for Penn to reject you? Plenty of other applicants will follow the directions. Either take the tests or don’t bother to apply to Penn.

Take the tests if you are really interested in going to Penn. IMO, it’s easier to get good scores on SAT II’s than to retake an ACT and get higher.

Yeah, if you want to just submit your SAT and your ACT, however, they may end up just using your ACT. UPenn is hard to get into so in the long run it would probably be best to do whatever you can to increase your chances, in this case, taking the subject test scores and scoring high. I would say, if you have time, money, and you think you will do well with them, then go for it, it will only help you out, if not, you will probably be fine without them, but it would just be a bummer to apply and not get accepted, for me anyway, I would think, it could be because of my subject tests. Trust me, I’m in the same boat, I just need to take them, but it sucks. Hopefully in the long run though, if I get rejected I’ll still know I did everything I could to get accepted, I won’t be left to wonder about subject tests. Does that make sense? haha. YOU CAN DO IT!
