Should I just ED to Rice?

70%?

Try average <20% AP pass rate at my school.

jmanco, getting into Rice is a damn impressive accomplishment. Many would argue that Rice is even better than schools like Brown and UPenn, both of which would be pretty difficult for you to get into, given your GPA/SAT scores, which are very good but not extraordinary. You obviously have a huge penchant for Rice, so why not just go ED? If you get in, it will save you a lot of worry and stress later in the year when all your friends will be making their final choices among several great schools.

Rice, Dartmouth, Brown, Princeton, and Notre Dame all have huge undergraduate focuses, and you seem to really like that in a school. If I were in your position, I'd go ED. It's not going to be easy to get in, but it will help you a lot, especially being that you're a legacy.

Rice is cooler than Brown and UPenn, too, because it lacks the pretentiousness often found at Ivy League schools and other highly ranked east-coast schools. Just my opinion, though, being a Californian.
