Should I keep my high school notes?

I have an archive of all my high school notes, and I was wondering whether I should just throw them out or keep them. I plan on typing all my notes if I decide to keep them.

Do you really have the need for high school notes in university? Thanks so much in advance!

They can come in handy. It seems a waste of effort to type up all your notes on the off-chance you may need them. I would just keep them how they are and pull them out if you end up taking a class in which those notes would be relevant.

I think the notes that would probably be the most relevant would be ones from AP courses - especially classes like Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, etc. where a lot of the material overlaps with introductory college courses.

Definitely don’t waste the time transcribing them. I kept all my high school notes through college but i maybe looked at them once or twice if that.

Depends on what you’re majoring in.
As an biomedical engineering major I keep all of my notes from AP calculus and bio classes. Granted I only look at them every once in a while for reference, but they’re still good to have.
I threw out most of the other stuff though.

Hang on to your notebooks, absolutely. Put them up in mom’s attic, or in a bin in the garage. You may be surprised at how many of them come in very handy.

Hang onto any AP notes. My D passed AP Psych, but had to take a one credit psych lab to get the full credit. She took the note cards she had spent so many hours making in high school, and they helped her brush up for her tests.
