Should I list JV sports on application?

There really should a separate sub-forum just for application concerns, but that's a question for another day.

Anyways, I've played basketball at my school for three years. However, it is a very large high school and I'm nothing special, so I only played on varsity junior year. Freshman and sophomore year were spent on the freshman and jv teams, respectively. How should I go about listing all this stuff on my application and activity resume?

A) List each year separately?
B) Write Varsity Basketball (grade 11), and then simply make mention to the two previous years on the activity resume in the descripition column?
C) Write Varsity Basketball (9-11), and then explain that the first two years were spent on lesser teams?
D) Just write Basketball (9-11), and then list which year I played on each level?

What are you guys doing?

I'll give an example of the first line of my daughter's soccer entry on her resume as it fits your question:

Soccer, 9, 10 (junior varsity), 11, 12 (varsity) - 12 hrs/wk - 9 wks/yr (13 yrs)

As you can see, she is showing which year she played at which level, then has hours per week and weeks per year. For activities that she had done for most of her life or any long block of time, she added total number of years (in this case, since K, so 13 years total).

Hope this helps.
Susan

Yeah, that explains it. Thank you.
